Recarburizer is obtained from an electric furnace for producing phosphorus. According to the crystal structure of carbon in the carburizing agent, the carburizing agent can be divided into amorphous and crystalline states; According to the existing forms of carbon atoms, they can be divided into graphitized carburetors and non graphitized carburetors. There are two main types of graphitized carburetors: graphitized petroleum coke and graphite electrodes. Graphitized petroleum coke carburizing agents are widely used in the casting industry. The production process is a high-temperature heat treatment process in which the raw material petroleum coke is heated at 2200-2600 ℃ in a graphitization furnace to convert the amorphous disordered layer structure carbon of petroleum coke into three-dimensional ordered graphite crystals, i.e., through the graphitization process, reaching a graphitized state. Non graphitized carburetors mainly include: calcined petroleum coke, coal based carburetors, and so on. Calcined petroleum coke refers to petroleum coke that is heated at a high temperature of 1200-1500 ℃, with a relatively low processing temperature, and no change in its crystal structure. Coal based carburetors are rarely used in electric arc furnace melting due to their high ash and volatile content. The main indicators to measure the quality of a carburetor include fixed carbon content, sulfur content, volatile matter, ash content, nitrogen content, and water content. After high-temperature graphitization treatment, the sulfur and nitrogen content of graphitized carburetors are significantly lower than those of non graphitized carburetors.
