Basic Principles of Ferroalloys

Ferroalloy is produced by reductant reduction method. It is based on the fact that the affinity of the reducing agent for oxygen is greater than the affinity of the reduced metal for oxygen, thereby replacing the metal.

The production of ferroalloys by oxidation. The process is a selective oxidation process. Those with poor oxide stability in the alloy will inevitably be oxidized later in the selective oxidation process, while those with good oxide stability will inevitably be preferentially oxidized in large quantities.
